Five questions with Mel

Five questions with Mel—Cornerstone Anglican Church Box Hill

Tell us about a moment from this week that you want to remember.
Taking twenty-one very enthusiastic Year 5 students to prepare and cook meals for the homeless. Their joy and excitement to serve the community was amazing!

What did you do last weekend?
It’s report-writing season right now, so I marked some assessments and wrote some comments. I also managed to squeeze in lunch and walking around Windsor markets with some friends after church.

Can you share a favourite Bible verse with us?
2 Corinthians 4:18: ‘So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.’

Tell us about your favourite meal right now.
I was a pretty picky eater, so spaghetti with cheese on top (no sauce). I can happily say I’m not so picky anymore and now love spaghetti bolognaise.

Who or what has encouraged you recently?
Leading at kids church in the primary group. The kids are so willing to listen and ask the hard questions. It’s awesome to see them growing in their faith each time I’m there.
